North Bend Planning Commissioner Wilson appointed to King County Superior Court

Judge Coreen Wilson, 12.16.22

North Bend Planning Commissioner, Coreen Wilson, has been appointed to the King County Superior Court, replacing Judge Douglass North. Governor Jay Inslee announced the appointment in December, acknowledging her extensive civil trial experience and leadership in the use of hybrid technology in the courtroom.

Wilson is an engaged member of the North Bend community, having served on the Economic Development Commission, the Planning Commission, and Salary Commission. She also volunteers with Reclaim, formerly Snoqualmie Valley Shelter Services.

Mayor McFarland expressed appreciation for Wilson’s ongoing involvement in North Bend, commenting, “Coreen has served our community well as an active participant in Planning and Economic Development. She made valuable impacts in her work on our forthcoming Economic Development Action Plan and provided guidance on a wide variety of planning projects. Council and I are proud of her appointment as a trial court judge and look forward to seeing her serve all of us in a new capacity.”

Acknowledging new service commitments, Wilson stepped down from her position with the Planning Commission on December 31, 2022. The City thanks Wilson for her three years of service.
