[ARCHIVED] Mayor proclaims May as Innovation Month in North Bend

Innovation Month_web

Mayor Miller is proud to proclaim May as Innovation Month in North Bend. The Empower Youth Network's Pathways to Employment Success program, in collaboration with the SnoValley Innovation Center, and partnering with the Riverview and the Snoqualmie Valley School District's Career Technical Education (CTE) Departments, has launched the Valley Innovation Project (VIP) to foster economic development as part of the Snoqualmie Valley Economic Alliance initiative.

The City of North Bend recognizes that the VIP embodies the spirit of innovation, creativity, and collaboration amongst our youth, local professionals, businesses, and the leaders of our community.

This platform aims to equip our high school students in the Snoqualmie Valley with essential entrepreneurial skills and leadership qualities through the VIP, and this collaboration exemplifies the dedication and commitment to the holistic development and future success of our community and youth preparing for their post high school path.

Through the VIP, students will have access to mentorship, resources, and practical hands-on experiences that will empower them to explore their passions, develop critical skills, and pursue their entrepreneurial endeavors.

The VIP Project will begin Friday, April 26, and will run through May 3 as part of EYN’s Pathways to Employment Success program, SnoValley Innovation Center, Riverview and Snoqualmie Valley School District's CTE economic activity efforts.
