Every winter, the North Bend City Council confirms annual appointments to the Council’s Standing Committees, and this year, councilmembers look forward to fresh, in-depth discussions and input from residents and stakeholders as they begin their work in committees for 2025.
As part of the process, per Resolution 1437, Mayor Pro Tem Mark Joselyn recommended councilmembers for the following Council Standing Committees:
Council Standing Committees are an integral part of the City of North Bend, serving as permanent, ongoing policy review and discussions that work to assist the Council in examining important issues and developing recommendations for consideration by the Council. These committees do not take binding action on behalf of the City of North Bend.
In addition to Council Standing Committees, the North Bend City Council sees value in serving as liaison to city commissions as well as regional committees. As a prior councilmember herself, Mayor Mary Miller felt the experience was invaluable.
“Each councilmember is dedicated to being attuned to issues that affect our residents. This form of participation helps councilmembers connect with our community and provide additional insight into topics that will come back before the Council for formal action,” she said.
Councilmembers are currently in the process of serving on, being appointed to and applying to serve on regional committees as well.
